IVF is not how I envisioned starting my family

It’s been many months of trying fertility treatments, negative pee tests, and (thousands of dollars) but I’m still having a hard time with the reality that invitro is how we’re starting a family. I feel like my body has failed me or have worries that maybe my spouse and I just aren’t compatible baby-makers. What if it doesn’t work after a few months? I can’t stomach the idea of paying thousands more for a chance at having a baby—but more than that I’m mostly struggling that it’s not a spontaneous or natural conception. Infertility is really giving me so much grief and anxiety and I hope one day my body can let that go… but I don’t think it ever will. Especially if we decide we want more children or IVF is unsuccesful.
